Today, my youngest son turns 14. It seems like not very long ago, I was preparing for his first birthday. Time really flies when you're raising Caton!!
From the moment I laid eyes on him I knew I was in for something I hadn't yet experienced.
He rewrote the book and threw me for more loops than I knew existed.
He loved his big brother and--at least for a while--the feeling was mutual.
I was only ever planning on having two children. Caton was clearly a "middle child" though. I never really understood that until Aubrey came along.
After a while (once he realizied she wasn't going anywhere) he realized he made a pretty great Bubba. What a pair those two were.
Needless to say, Aub was VERY protected!!
Fast forward 9 years and two baby sisters...Caton is proving that being a big brother is a task he is quite qualified for. These girls are blessed more than they even know. He loves them almost as much as they adore him.
Caton Charles is an amazing person. He has more talent in his pinky finger than his Mama does in her whole body.
I am in awe of him and all that he has overcome in his life. He has taken abuse, neglect and tragedy and turned it into character, faith and LOVE for people and God. I am beyond proud of who he is and cannot wait to see what he does with his life. I thank God daily for allowing me to be his Mama.
